Jami brings more than 15 years of leadership experience to stable|kernel with a background that has largely centered around the intersection of education and business. Having marketed, sold, developed and managed training programs for some of the world’s most recognized brands, she brings an array of skills to our team and our clients. Jami ensures stable|kernel is engaging, efficient and rewarding for both our clients and our employees.
Jami is a volunteer troop leader for the Girls Scouts of Atlanta where she co-leads an incredible group of a dozen girls, encouraging them to learn as much as they can about themselves and the world around them. She is also an active member of the Parent Teacher Community Association at A Neighborhood Charter School in Atlanta, Georgia.
Prior to joining stable|kernel, Jami led global business development of training for Big Nerd Ranch where she grew the corporate training division from a handful of classes to over 200 per year in less than 4 years. She also set and directed business strategy and sales for global public and private immersive-learning bootcamps. Jami also served on the executive management team where she collaborated with engineers, training directors and C-level execs to bring intense, high-dollar tailored training to their organizations.
Jami’s passion for education stems from her work as a high school English teacher at North Springs Charter High School where she taught English Language Arts to over 150 10th and 11th grade students each year. She developed customized themed curriculum, adhering to state performance standards, created scaffolded learning environments for diverse groups of learners and integrated the fine arts into the English curriculum to enrich learning connections. Jami was awarded a grant that enabled participation in the Alliance Theatre Institute for Educators program and actively participated in Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and ArtsNow Initiative.
Jami began her career at Champion International Paper, leading sales teams to generate more than $12 million in annual sales and then directing creative services where she developed a post-merger brand and strategy and managed a $2 million annual branding campaign for multiple product lines.
